Lehigh Valley Industrial Park and Spillman Farmer Architects have achieved dual LEED Gold certifications for the Lehigh Valley Industrial Park office building and Spillman Farmer Architects’ offices, located in Bethlehem Pennsylvania on the former Bethlehem Steel industrial site (and now the largest privately owned brownfield site in the United States).
As a component of our work at Lehigh Valley Hospital’s Cedar Crest campus, Lehigh Valley Health Network Facilities and Construction in association with VSBA planned, designed, and oversaw construction for the Center for Advanced Health Care, a LEED Silver certified anchor for ambulatory care whose mission is to create a personal, patient-centered and life-affirming experience for the patient. Physicians’ offices, clinical spaces, and other tenants are located here.
Sustainability Narrative: Not just another LEED Gold building, Colorcon Global Headquarters and Technology Center provides a cost-effective model of environmental stewardship for suburban office buildings. Rather than dominating the site, the building is knit back into the landscape, creating a multi-ecosystem environment which replicates native Pennsylvania habitats. LEED standards measure environmental performance of the project, and both the design and corporate policies innovatively integrate sustainability into the on-going life of the entire community.
