Geothermal

As of 2010, the 218,000-square-foot facility, housing 950 employees, is the third-largest new construction Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Platinum level building on the planet. Evan Welsh, SAP AG’s global media relations specialist, explained it has ripple benefits, as well. 

Entry to the building is through a passageway that features a floor comprised of recycled materials, including seashells and pieces of crushed bottles and glass and the bamboo drop ceiling.


Camden Monthly Meeting Social Hall

Camden, Delaware 19934

This project includes the historic restoration of an 1805 Meeting House and a new community gathering space designed to match the elegant simplicity and durability of the Meeting House. Prior to design, Re:Vision’s due diligence included an energy audit, structural analysis, and archaeological investigation of the existing site and historic Meeting House building. This information formed the basis for a master plan which Re:Vision then executed.


Aerzen USA Headquarters

Coatesville, Pennsylvania 19320
Aerzen USA’s LEED Gold Headquarters creates a statement of possibility for manufacturing facilities that are environmentally responsible, worker-friendly, cost competitive, and architecturally significant. The project includes an 8,000 SF office space and 34,000 SF of “lean manufacturing,” and storage areas.

Horticulture Center - Morris Arboretum

Springfield Township, Pennsylvania 19118

The Horticulture Center at the University of Pennsylvania's Morris Arboretum is a complex of five structures. Located at the Arboretum's Bloomfield Farm, the project includes offices, vehicle storage, shops for carpentry, equipment maintenance and other "back of house" uses. The layout of the facility includes a "public courtyard" and a "work courtyard" which are arranged to allow safe access to the public facility for visitors, while permitting the daily horticulture activities to proceed easily.


Community Recreation and Environmental Education Center at Haverford Reserve

Havertown, Pennsylvania 19083

This past June, Haverford Township’s Board of Commissioners voted in favor of a geothermal energy system for the proposed Community Recreation & Environmental Center, set to be completed in 2012. The facility will be located at Haverford Reserve, on the sprawling 160 acres of land the township has recently developed into a park and nature preserve. The space, located off of Darby and Marple roads in Haverford, was the former home of Haverford State Hospital, which was closed by the state in 1998.


Hayes Residence

Extensive renovations were made to the architecturally significant mid-century Hayes Residence in order to open up the floor plan, make better use of underutilized areas, update the finishes, and dramatically reduce energy consumption. The most significant changes were made to the kitchen/dining area, mudroom addition, master bedroom suite, and mechanical systems.


Bancroft Green Modular Townhomes

Philadelphia, Pennsylvania 19320

Bancroft Green is an urban infill project in which the majority of a city block is being developed into a series of townhomes around a central greenspace. With building lots less than 16’ wide, the design took a creative approach to daylighting by incorporating light wells and high windows to successfully bring light deep into the units.


Friends Center Renovation

Philadelphia, Pennsylvania 19102

Friends Center’s 1.26-acre campus includes the historic Race Street Meetinghouse, built in 1856, and a 56,000SF office building, constructed in 1972.


Clearview Elementary School

Hanover, Pennsylvania 17331

The Clearview Elementary School in Hanover, Pennsylvania is a 43,000 square foot new construction project. The new school replaces an existing facility at the same location and serves kindergarten through grade 4.

Some project highlights include building commissioning, a building integrated sundial, a 30% reduction in water use, a 40% reduction in energy use, detailed attention to materials selection, superior indoor air quality, controllable building systems, and construction waste management.


Cambria Office - Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection

Ebenburg, Pennsylvania 15931

The Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection's second green office building, Cambria, has more green features and a higher level of environmental awareness than PA DEP's first building—the South Central Regional Office Building. This 36,000 ft2 facility, designed for approximately 125 occupants, has collected data and documented many facets of its green design initiatives.
