Green Roof on Kitchen

As part of a larger renovation project, Urban Ecoforms designed and installed an extensive green roof on a local resident's kitchen roof. In the next few growing seasons the sedum plugs will fill in to create a green carpet of succulents that is visible from all of the adjacent homes and from the project owner's bedroom.

2217 Coral Street LEED Platinum Registered Home

PS Property, LLC. Is building a three story, 2 bath, LEED Platinum registered home located in the New East Kensington area of Philadelphia at 2217 Coral St. This project was the featured “LEED GREEN” home used for training purposes for this year’s annual “Building Safety Month” by the City of Philadelphia’s L & I Department.

Kilpatrick Residence

Construct a new modern home on an existing lot where original home was destroyed by fire. Home proposed to have SIPS roof structure, FSC certified lumber, low VOC paints, stains, cement siding, 95% fuel efficient HVAC, low-E glass, adaptive re-use of existing facilities, rainwater management, etc.

Hayes Residence

Extensive renovations were made to the architecturally significant mid-century Hayes Residence in order to open up the floor plan, make better use of underutilized areas, update the finishes, and dramatically reduce energy consumption. The most significant changes were made to the kitchen/dining area, mudroom addition, master bedroom suite, and mechanical systems.


Eco-Beach

Bethany Beach, Delaware 19930

Eco-Beach is a Silver LEED certified property in Bethany Beach, Delaware. It is the first LEED certified home in the state of Delaware as well as Marnie Inc.’s first socially responsible home. The house is outfitted with eco-friendly products including ENERGY STAR appliances, recycled rubber flooring, cement hardipanel exterior, and low VOC paint. The house is insulated with closed cell spray foam insulation as well as BATT insulation. For energy efficiency and low indoor water usage, high efficiency gas furnaces and tankless water heaters were installed.


Olive Townhomes

Olive Townhomes is a sustainable townhome project registered under LEED for Homes green building certification program with the goal of achieving LEED Gold. The Olive Townhomes were designed to achieve four ends: Energy Efficiency, Savings and Conservation Comfortable, Bright and Healthy Living Spaces, Natural Resource Conservation, and Protection Inherent Beauty of Green Design. Located at 808 Carpenter Street, Philadelphia, Pa., it is one block from the Italian Market and a 10-15 minute walk into Center City.


Bancroft Green Modular Townhomes

Philadelphia, Pennsylvania 19320

Bancroft Green is an urban infill project in which the majority of a city block is being developed into a series of townhomes around a central greenspace. With building lots less than 16’ wide, the design took a creative approach to daylighting by incorporating light wells and high windows to successfully bring light deep into the units.
