Drexel Living Wall

Featuring: Networking, Light fare, Living Wall seminar and tour of the Living Wall at Papadakis Integrated Science Center.
Drexel’s living wall is North America’s largest living biofilter and the only such structure installed at a U.S. university. Bill Taylor, Physical Plant Director, will give an introduction about the Science Center systems. Dr. Alan Darlington of Nedlaw Living Walls will speak on the benefits of integrating living walls within architecture. Doctors Michael Waring, Jacob Russell and Shivanthi Anandan (Drexel Professors) will speak on the current research examining the effects on the interior atmosphere and its potential health benefits for commercial and academic applications. At the conclusion we will tour the centerpiece of Drexel University’s new Papadakis Integrated Sciences Building, the 22-foot wide, 80-foot tall biowall.
