The 2009 DVGBC's Student Sustainable Design Competition Winning Boards will be on display from September 1st to October 1st at the Philadelphia Center for Architecture, 1218 Arch Street, Philadelphia.
The Delaware Valley Green Building Council awarded its fifth annual Student Sustainable Design Competition this past spring. The competition encourages colleges, universities, design and engineering professionals, and community members to partner around an applied learning experience that focuses on sustainable design. In support of recent studies in urban access to healthy & nutritious foods, the DVGBC challenged 2009 competitors to design a sustainable food co-operative market. This year’s participants included students from University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia University, Community College of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania College of Technology, as well as individual participants both nationally and internationally.
