Energy from the sun will become more viable than ever because of global warming and the peak oil crisis. This session will focus on solar water heating systems and products. Join us for intermediate level information that will expand your knowledge beyond just familiarity with the basic technology. Topics include: overview of the technology, types of collectors, site analysis, criteria for system selection, sizing and configuration, mounting scenarios, and maintenance.
Mark Connolly, P.E. is an engineer with Atlantic Energy Concepts located in Reading, PA. He has worked as an energy engineer for over 25 years in facilities and construction management. Since 2005, he has worked in the design and installation of solar thermal and PV systems. Mr. Connolly is a NABCEP Certified Solar Thermal Installer, a member of the Mid Atlantic Solar Energy Industry Association (MSEIA) PA Committee and Governor Rendell’s Solar Working Group. He received his BS in Mechanical Engineering Technology from Temple University.
