The DVGBC Education Programs Committee Presents:
Hanging Ten! Surfing Philadelphia’s New Stormwater Management Policies
Wednesday, October 6, 2010; 9:00 - 11:00 am
Location:
Friends Center Corporation, 1501 Cherry Street, Philadelphia, PA 19102
As part of its Green City, Clean Waters initiative the PWD has stated that they have “developed an infrastructure management program that will protect and enhance our region’s waterways by managing stormwater runoff in a way that significantly reduces our reliance on construction of additional underground infrastructure. In effect, we plan to invest in green stormwater infrastructure solutions to essentially reseed what are currently our impervious watershed hardscapes”. This event will familiarize attendees with the current status of the initiative, the recently implemented Stormwater Management Service Charge and provide possible solutions for those businesses that may be affected by it. It’s an event you won’t want to miss!
