09 / 30 2009 LEED v3 Rating System Update Start: 5:30 pm End: 7:30 pm The USGBC has revised the widely recognized Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Building Rating System and released a new version- LEED 2009. The Council has introduced new prerequisites, tightened the referenced standards, created new regional priority credits, re-assigned point values to many existing credits, and harmonized the points required for certification across the rating systems. For instance, a rate with caps for Philadelphia region electric rates approved by the Pennsylvania PUC is set to expire after 2010. Oil and natural gas costs are rising dramatically.
