Thursday, January 23, 2003 Noon - 1:30 pm Hundreds of projects are LEED registered, but only a few are certified. Is the process too expensive and arduous except for the most dedicated of project teams? Come join David Schoenhard, AIA (Cathers & Associates) as he presents "935 First Avenue Corporate Center," a speculative office project in King of Prussia by Brandywine Realty Trust. This project is one of the first in the Philly area to pursue LEED accreditation. The presentation will focus on the project's specific LEED focused green methodologies and materials as well as its commitment to quality architecture and ethics. Mr. Schoenhard goal is to critically evaluate the LEED process - it's value, it's costs, and it's hardships. Green is enthusiastically becoming mainstream as can be seen in the availability of sustainable materials, developers testing its value, and in the sheer numbers of LEED's members and registered projects. LEED by name is leading the parade in spite of its cumbersome certification process. Come share the dialogue about Mr. Schoenhard's experience. Bring a lunch and join us! RSVP is a must!
