Right or wrong, many professionals believe that designing and building "Green" costs significantly more than completing an equivalent building according to "business as usual." This may make it difficult for the designer to justify, or the owner to approve, the incorporation of Green design into a building. We intend to address some of these concerns in a down-to-earth way and point out where extra costs may or may not be a reality. If there are extra costs, are they offset by increased value to the owner, occupier or financier? Are there sources of funding not available to conventional design and construction? Panelists from the construction, architecture, engineering, and financing sectors will provide a range of practical viewpoints. You are welcome to bring your questions and concerns and join in the discussion.
