Thursday, March 11, 2004 The Delaware Valley Green Building Council, AIA Philadelphias Committee on the Environment, and the Philadelphia Chapter of the International Facilities Management Association invite you to an evening seminar that will interest design professionals as well as facilities and asset managers. The LEED-EB rating system is presently in its pilot phase and will likely emerge as an official LEED rating system later this year. Steve Keppler will speak about the LEED-EB rating system and how it will be applied to existing buildings. Steve Keppler is the President of S. D. Keppler & Associates, an Energy and Environmental Consulting solutions and services provider. Steve is the former LEED Program Director for the US Green Building Council where he directed and coordinated the final development of LEED version 2.0 and the technical tools and structures that support it. Steve is currently consulting with owners and project teams on seven new green building projects including an urban high rise multi-tenant building, a mid-size commercial building, a university academic/classroom building, and a K-12 elementary school building. Steve is also consulting to eight existing building portfolio owners, including The National Geographic Society and Furman University, on greening existing commercial, institutional, higher education, and public school buildings. Schedule: Special thanks to Carpenters Hall for their hospitality. |
