This landscape genre often defines good stewardship while less manicuring and use of "perceived" weeds native plants constitutes the opposite. This presentation will use case studies of watershed restoration projects riparian buffer plantings and restorations whose goals are to improve water quality, increase wildlife habitat, decrease NPS pollution, and reduce fragmentation of green spaces along the creeks through the use of native plants. The presentation will present design and management practices in the form of stormwater and water quality Best Management Practices, neighbors reactions, and anecdotes of compromises between the consultant, municipalities, and residents.
