Thursday, April 21, 2005 Emerging Green Builders represent a coalition of students and young professionals intent on promoting the integration of future leaders into the green building movement. The mission of EGB is to create a network of emerging green building leaders and develop opportunities for involvement through the USGBC to further generate momentum for the green building industry. The DVGBC’s Emerging Green Builders Kick-off meeting will be held at the School of Design, University of Pennsylvania. Architect and Adjunct Professor Muscoe Martin will present a short talk on ‘the Future of Sustainable Design in the Delaware Valley’. Time will be devoted to creating a leadership structure to hold future meeting and events for students and young professionals. Programs such as local green building tours, LEED training and analysis, and employment as a green builder or consultant might be topics to explore. Refreshments will be provided. Special thanks to Building Simulation Group, University of Pennsylvania for hosting the meeting. |
