Guided Tour thru the Eastonian – an adaptive conversion of a 1920’s historic hotel into luxury condominiums – in Easton, PA. The project is in process to receive LEED certification (possibly silver). The key components of this urban building include a high performance central heating/cooling system, shell improvements, building reuse, reduced construction waste, local/regional materials, and green housekeeping. Project Architect William G. Dohe, AIA, LEED AP, of R+D ARCHITECTURE will guide the tour, giving a description of the project goals and strategies, and lessons learned.

William Dohe, (B.ENVD. Arch, University of Colorado, 1988) has been practicing in the field of architecture for eighteen years, with a broad range of experiences including large scale commercial design while working in Japan; large, high-end residential design in Jackson Hole, WY; and a combination of commercial and residential design projects in the Lehigh Valley and Pocono areas of PA. Mr. Dohe is a member of the American Institute of Architects. He has served on the board of the Easton Heritage Alliance, Easton Philipsburg YMCA (Building and Facilities Planning Committee), and Easton Rotary, and co-facilitates the Lafayette Technology Clinic at Lafayette College.

Downtown Easton has plenty of great restaurants, so plan to eat locally after the tour!
