In 2010 a shock will be felt in every Philadelphia area home and business when PECO rate caps vanish and electric bills increase substantially. Come for intermediate to advanced level information that will expand your knowledge beyond just familiarity with the basic technology. The session will focus on Solar PV (electric generation) and Solar H2O (heat generation) systems and products. Topics include; criteria for system selection, site analysis, sizing and configuration, mounting scenarios, net metering, maintenance and code issues. Case studies will illustrate problem solving and integration with the architecture design and building systems and finally lessons learned. Time allowing, solar renewable energy credits (SRECs), solar integrator options (PPAs) and funding opportunities will be discussed. The Speakers: Mark J. Connolly, PE is a principal of SunPower Builders and has worked in solar energy design and construction for over 30 years. He is active supporter of the Govenor Rendell’s Energy Independence Strategy (EIS). Mr. Connolly is a charter member of Mid Atlantic Solar Energy Industry Association (MESEIA).
