As part of The Green Building Process - from Concept to Completion series: The Delaware Valley Green Building Council and AIA Philadelphia's Committee on the Environment invite you to a Tour of Montogomery/Bucks County Green Homes including:

• Jackie O'Neil's Zero Energy LEED Home, and
• David Hartke's Keystone Green Building Initiative (GBI)-LEED Home

The Environmental Home Store is the region’s first green home products retailer. Join homeowner & proprietor Todd Ballentyne for a tour & discussion of the lessons learned renovating the 19th century former schoolhouse into his home & store.
Jackie O’Neil’s Zero Energy LEED Home
Join homeowner & developer Jackie O’Neil for a tour & discussion of the lessons learned building her zero energy, LEED-Gold certified home. Green features include: climate responsive design, daylighting, high performance SIP envelope, geothermal heat pump, ERV, rainwater harvesting, native landscaping and a 5.25kW solar electric system that eliminates her utility bill payment & provides excess income imagine getting paid every month for your utilities! Jackie is a finalist in the Philadelphia Sustainability Awards for her green development efforts.
David Hartke’s Keystone Green Building Initiative (GBI) & LEED Home
Join homeowner & architect David Hartke (Stampfl Hartke Associates LLC) for a tour & discussion of the lessons learned building his Keystone GBI & LEED-Silver home. Green features include: optimum value engineering (OVE) framing, high efficiency windows, geothermal heat pump & solar electric panels. David is co-chair of the Keystone GBI, a regional green building program based on the National Assoc. of Home Builder’s (NAHB’s) Model Green Home Building Guidelines geared towards builders launched in Sept. 2006.

Arrive back at Conshohocken Park & Ride
Transportation provided by Lower Merion School District on a natural gas-powered bus.
