National Park(ing) Day is an event transforming metered parking spaces into temporary public parks. 2008 is the first year that this event will occur in Philadelphia. Park(ing) Day will kick-off on the evening of September 18 at the Urban Sustainability Forum at the Academy of Natural Sciences. Maps of the parking space parks will be available at the Sustainability Forum event, and also at each park on September 19.
Parks will be in place from 9 am until 5 pm
