Advocacy Initiatives

Everyone can help take action to create an environmentally and socially responsible, healthy, and prosperous community. We'd love for you to become a member to collaborate in committee work, but we hope we also inspire you to take individual action that will improve the quality of life in our region for this generation and the next.

DVGBC hopes to provide you with resources to act in your own community and neighborhood. We'll keep you up to date on legislation on green buildings and other concerns related to sustainable communities, including how buildings and development affect and influence social equity and environmental justice concerns. We can provide you with information about how to talk with your local politicians, make contacting them easier, and offer tips for organizing. We'd also like to hear from you. If there are issues you think we should be addressing, our Programs & Advocacy Director or our Advocacy Committee Chair welcome your suggestions about how DVGBC can better serve the community.
