Committee Work

Joining a committee is the best way to get involved in the programs and advocacy work that we do. We welcome anyone who would like to share their knowledge and time, whether you're an engineer or community organizer. We hope that committee work offers you information, leadership development opportunities, professional development, and a feeling of community and accomplishment; our volunteers are one of our most valued organizational resources.

Only members of the DVGBC can join a committee, and some committees, like our finance committee, can only be joined by board members. If you've confirmed your membership and would like to join a committee, simply contact the committee chair through e-mail. They'll add you to the committee distribution list, which will let you know about the next meeting.

If you feel you could contribute to more than one committee, you're welcome to do so. Please note that DVGBC's territory is broad, and there are separate committees for our Lehigh Valley Branch that might give you an opportunity to work more closely within your own community.
