Ezra Small named Programs Assistant of the
Delaware Valley Green Building Council
Philadelphia, PA (August 4, 2009) – Heather Shayne Blakeslee, Interim Executive Director of the Delaware Valley Green Building Council (DVGBC) is happy to announce that the organization has added Ezra Small, the fifth member of their team, as the Programs Assistant. Small is a recent graduate of the University of Massachusetts, Amherst Graduate Program in Wildlife and Fisheries Conservation, and he comes to DVGBC from the Climate Crisis Coalition of New Marlboro Massachusetts where he served as Program Coordinator. At the Climate Coalition Small organized national climate action events to help build a growing coalition of allies and partners, developed and promoted programs to help communities reduce greenhouse gas emissions, and maintained the organization’s website. Small was also a Coordinator at the Berkshire Environmental Educators Network in New Marlboro Massachusetts, an organization initiated by the Flying Cloud Institute in 2005 to connect area nonprofits and public school educators who are interested in engaging students in meaningful investigations of the local environment. Adding Small to the already talented team allows DVGBC to continue the high-level, quality work that is a hallmark of the organization and a key factor in its exceptional growth.
