Working in partnership with tenant, McNeil Consumer Healthcare, Liberty Property Trust's design for this 75,000 square foot Class A office building, earned LEED Silver certification for Core and Shell of the building while McNeil earned LEED Silver certification for Commercial Interiors, an unusual double play by landlord and tenant. The site called for deconstructing an outmoded facility to build this new project to LEED standards. Deconstruction resulted in 89% of total waste diverted from landfills as well as 52% of new construction waste also diverted from landfills. 23% of all construction materials were extracted regionally, including remilled asphalt from the Turnpike.Extensive windows bring natural light deep into the building and provide views to 93% of floor areas. Water use is reduced by 41% through use of waterless urinals, low flow water fixtures and eliminating irrigation with landscaping using only native plants.Carbon dioxide monitoring insure that spaces are refreshed with external air throughout the day.
