W.S. Cumby recently completed construction of a new 25,000 SF aquatic center, which includes a competition pool as well as a recreational and therapy pool. The new facility serves as a connector to two existing buildings on the OSB campus to provide flow between buildings and provide indoor access to the pools. This project incorporates sustainable design and construction strategies, including: Water efficient landscaping Accessible to public transportation Low flow water saving fixtures Recycled and local materials Low VOC emitting materials Purchasing 70% green power 77% construction waste recycling This project is registered LEED-NC v2.2 and has a goal of being awarded a LEED Platinum Certification.
