Executive Committee
Provide leadership and oversight for the organization. Constitute the Board’s committees, provide them with any support required to carry out their charges, and hold them accountable for the implementation of their plans. Carry out and support the staff in the routine business of the organization.

Committee on Directors/Nominating Committee
Profile the Board to meet the needs of the organization. Solicit interest from potential new board members to meet the profile and to replace members lost through term expiration and attrition and nominate them for election. Conduct annual elections. Take responsibility for Board life, monitor the performance of Board members, sanction members when required and acknowledge individual contributions at appropriate times.

Finance and Funding Committee
Secure the necessary funding to achieve the goals, provide the programs and support the resources of the DVGBC. Establish a strategic financial plan and build a sustainable fiscal program. Provide financial oversight for the staff and the organization in general. Support the fiscal needs of the other committees and act as the Board’s financial liaison.

Organization and Membership
Develop the organizational and membership structures. Develop and implement a plan to provide value to DVGBC members. Increase membership. Develop and oversee membership record keeping.

Programs and Education
Establish, coordinate and facilitate an annual calendar of educational and training events. Support and partner with other educational efforts in the community. Collect and distribute information which educates and enhances the knowledge of the design and development community to further the goals of a sustainable community.

Advocacy/Outreach/Affiliation
Establish and nurture relationships with other constituencies that have goals and missions aligned with those of the DVGBC. Become a champion for green building, green development and sustainability in both the private and public sectors. Measure, acknowledge and promote green development in the Delaware Valley.
