DVGBC honored at GreenBuild
Every year USGBC recognizes outstanding chapter achievements through its chapter awards program, sponsored by Miliken. The submissions were judged by USGBC staff and chapter leadership. There were 36 submissions in 5 categories. DVGBC was recognized with two Chapter Awards for large chapters!
Following is a list of the USGBC awards our chapter has won over the years:

DVGBC’s 5th Annual Green Building Celebration drew over 350 attendees this year, our biggest celebration ever! In attendance was PA DEP Secretary Kathleen McGinty, who addressed the crowd at Lincoln Financial Field’s SCA Club Lounge, stressing the importance of supporting green buildings and sustainable development. Philadelphia is the first Public Housing Authority (PHA) in PA to build to Energy Star Homes standard:

ECA received a grant from the PA Energy Development Authority (PEDA) to work with PHA to provide technical assistance, inspection and certification services for the construction of 60 Energy Star Homes. There are 50 Energy Star Homes in the LEB III project in West Philadelphia, and 10 modular Energy Star units in Ludlow in North Philly.
